Mijo (pronounced “Mee-Joe”) Lee is the Executive Director of the Willow Fund, a small private foundation that funds transformative grassroots movements, and a donor advisor/philanthropic consultant with a deep commitment to building powerful movements for social justice. From a background in organizing on issues of policing, immigration, and fair trade, Mijo found her way into philanthropy through Social Justice Fund NW, which funds grassroots community organizing in the Northwest, where she spent 9 years in leadership. Mijo is also proud to serve on the board of Firelands Workers United, which organizes multiracial, working-class power in rural Washington State, and the advisory council of the Emergent Fund, which funds at the intersection of rapid response and movement building, . Mijo lives in Seattle, where she enjoys baking, speculative fiction, learning Korean, and bad but passionate karaoke.
